Zaan General Electric Co. unveiled an optical disk can for 500 gigabytes of information, the equivalent of 100 DVDs.
And the disk is intended for specialists archives, but the company believes it could benefit ordinary users.
The DVD Blu - Ray (or ray) with capacity for between 25 and 50 GB, and is used to store high-definition videos.
The new disk other than the capacity for it not only stores information on disk space, but in three dimensions.
The biggest challenges for producers of this disc is to make it suitable for reading and writing alike.
